Potential candidates for the iCare+ weight loss clinic and compounded GLP-1 medication therapy include those who have a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or higher OR a BMI of 27 or higher with weight-related health conditions like Type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure or high cholesterol.

GLP-1 medications are not suitable for everyone especially those with contraindications including:

  • Those with a history of pancreatitis.
  • Those with a personal or family history of medullary thyroid cancer. (MTC)
  • Those with multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome Type 2 (MEN2).
  • Those with Type 1 diabetes.

An iCare+ telemedicine provider will help determine if compounded GLP-1 medications or an alternative is appropriate based on your individual health needs and assessment.
